Thomas Carpentier is a Chartered Fire Engineer with over 15 years of international experience across Australia, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. He has successfully delivered projects in the education, healthcare, residential, commercial, retail, oil & gas, community, food processing, heritage, and defence sectors, developing a comprehensive understanding of the challenges associated with fire safety and demonstrating expertise in performance-based design and compliance solutions. Following the Lacrosse Tower fire in Melbourne (Australia), Thomas contributed to the development of a risk assessment tool commissioned by the Victoria Stage Government to evaluate the level of safety of external wall systems. He has delivered multiple external wall assessments for buildings across the United Kingdom and implemented the PAS 9980 methodology. for facade fire risk appraisal. Thomas has presented lectures and technical seminars on external wall safety to clients and universities throughout the UK and Europe. He is a certified Expert Witness and has been appointed as the lead expert on multiple fire safety claims.
