Alan is a highly experienced geotechnical and civil engineering specialist with over 50 years’ experience across the building, infrastructure and transportation sectors. He is a Consultant to TerraConsult Ltd and, since 2016, a Director of Plough Geotechnical Ltd. Previously, he served as Technical Director of Geotechnical Engineering at Mouchel Parkman, where he was responsible for the quality, technical direction and delivery of geotechnical services across the UK. Alan has led and managed complex geotechnical investigations and designs covering foundations, earthworks, slope stability, retaining structures, groundwater control, landfill and brownfield engineering for residential and commercial developments, highways and railways, working closely with clients and regulators to deliver compliant and robust solutions.
