Overview

Peter Dearman is a highly experienced railway engineering expert with over 50 years of experience across railway electrification, infrastructure modernisation and rail operations. Trained by British Rail, he has held senior leadership and engineering positions across major rail organisations and has led some of the UK’s most significant railway transformation programmes. Peter has played a key role in major rail initiatives including the East Coast Main Line electrification programme, development of the Train Protection Warning System (TPWS), large-scale route modernisation projects and national maintenance transformation programmes. More recently, he has advised international railway operators on infrastructure delivery and organisational development. He also acts as an expert witness in health and safety, technical and commercial dispute matters, bringing extensive practical and strategic railway expertise.
