David Humphreys is an internationally recognised building conservation and built heritage specialist with over 30 years of experience across the public and private sectors in Ireland, the UK, Australia and Southeast Asia. David has advised government agencies, public authorities, charitable organisations and private clients on more than 1,100 projects involving historic structures, protected buildings and complex heritage assets. His expertise spans the conservation and management of ancient and traditional buildings, historic iron and metal structures, and the adaptive reuse of heritage assets. He is widely recognised for his technical leadership in heritage conservation and has recently advised on projects in India, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Myanmar, Singapore and Hong Kong. David holds multiple chartered professional accreditations and serves in senior leadership roles within international professional bodies, including chairing conservation committees for RICS, SCSI and CABE. He is the recipient of numerous national and international awards, including the CABE International Building Engineer of the Year Award 2024, reflecting his contribution to excellence in building conservation and the built environment.
